I know you have it working now but I did achieve success with a Mac using Windows on VMware. But I found you needed to do all in the correct order. Sort the com port first, then shut down the software, get the radian in the boot loader mode, then connect to the mac with Windows running, then reopen the software. That worked for me on a Mac!
USB adapters in general with windows can be very fickle. If you are having trouble, this is th eprocedure to follow to get it working again:
1) Quit the PC software
2) Turn the G-Lock/BLD off
3) Disconnect the USB adapter from the USB cable
4) Wait a few seconds then reconnect the USB adapter
5) After windows has made it's noise to tell you it found the hardware, run the PC app again
6) Turn the G-Lock/BLD back on
The thing to avoid at all costs is plugging the USB cable into the adapter while the G-Lock/BLD is connected and powered. Windows usually detects it as a 'Microsoft serial ballpoint mouse' and your cursor goes crazy. This has been a standing problem for all USB adapters like this for years.
Hi all looking for a little support. I loaded the g-lock upgrade to my radian module successfully (v 1.03), but the G lock software will not acknowledge radian at all. I have proper comm port set. I put the module in back into boatload and it shows the upgrade ok but... Should I reload the G-lock fw to the radian module and if so, is my download code still valid for this module?

I'd also like to know the same as donutjack please. I've upgraded the module so it says "RADIAN > G-lock (3-axis)" in the bootloader, but I can't connect to the actual calibration software. Do I have to install a firmware in bootloader mode before I can use the software please? E.g. Bootloader > Upgrade code > Upgrade code successful > LOAD NEW FIRMWARE > Access G-lock calibration software. Excuse me if this is a N00bish question or if it has already been answered in a thread I've not yet found but I'd hate to do something wrong and screw it up.

Don't know if this helps, it worked for me. I downloaded the latest firmware from here 1.06, put the Radian in bootloader mode. Click CONNECT TO TARGET. Then LOAD FIRMWARE FILE, to which I selected the 1.06 firmware that I downloaded from this site. Once loaded clicked PROGRAM FIRMWARE and it updated. It's now let me access to g-lock calibration / software tool. I realised I was running the old FREEFLY firmware as when I tried it on their software it was working. Maybe the new FW will help you?
Hi Craig. Thanks for the response. I'm glad that worked for you. i got to it today and, as you suggested, opened it with the boot loader and flashed the latest fw (v1.06) in the order you laid out so nicely. It still won't be recognized by the g-lock tool (v1.04). The Radian module was brand new in the box when I did the Radian ->Carvec conversion both LEDs on the Radian are solid. I hope these pics help.

Are you still in bootloader mode when you are trying to connect to the G-Lock calibration software? You only need to be in bootloader mode to do the firmware update. Now you have the new firmware just plug in the Radian to the computer and switch on as normal. This is how I've been doing it. CONNECT CABLE FROM COMPUTER TO RADIAN > SWITCH ON MY RC HANDSET > START G-LOCK SOFTWARE > POWER THE RADIAN MODULE. Hopefully that should do it. Takes a moment for the program to recognise the Radian input. As a word of warning, I would not plug in all your servos when you first start it up. I did and the thing went spinning around lol and I had to cut the power quickly (I put a small switch between the 3s lipo and 12V to 5V Castle BEC so I can power on and off without all the hassle of unplugging the battery constantly). Set your MODE channel is the thing to do first, or make sure your servos are switched off when first looking into the software. The user manual on the downloads section is good, you've prob seen that already though.
Hey Craig. It is possible it is still in boot load mode but I figure it resets as soon as new firmware is loaded. I've done that twice now. Solid LEDSs on the radian module. But still no love. I'll resume radian therapy tomorrow. Btw. I know the transmitter speaks to the radian. And I can even get some settingsin the g lock sw to recognize and write, but can't get it to acknowledge the version or read the settings. Always the timeout message right away.
